Airtel introduces the iPhone 3G in India
Finally its official. Airtel have made the official announcement about the iPhone 3G and its pricing details.Apple's iPhone would cost as below:
1. 8 GB (Black) for Rs 31000
2. 16GB (White & Black) for Rs. 36100
As they have only limited stocks, they have asked to customers to pay Rs. 5000 in any of the Airtel Stores and confirm the booking. List of Airtel stores is available @ www.airtel.in/iphone3g
IndiaTimes: IPhone to cost Rs. 30K+ in India
Bharti Airtel and Vodafone have announced that they will be launching iPhone in India on August 22, 2008. However nothing was mentioned about the cost of this apple gadget in India.

IndiaTimes Infotech, based upon few reports, say that the 8 GB version of the 3G iPhone will cost Rs. 31,000/- and the 16 GB version will cost between Rs. 36,000/- to Rs. 37,000/-
If the price is going to be so high, then the sale of hacked iPhones in the gray market will shoot up, for sure.

Vodafone to Offer Apple’s iPhone in India

Finally Apple's iPhone to reach India, officially.
"Vodafone today announced it has signed an agreement with Apple to sell the iPhone in ten of its markets around the globe. Later this year, Vodafone customers in Australia, the Czech Republic, Egypt, Greece, Italy, India, Portugal, New Zealand, South Africa and Turkey will be able to purchase the iPhone for use on the Vodafone network."
