TRAI have passed a set of regulations to the Service Providers that help the subscribers get more benefits. According to one of those regulations, the Service Providers should charge only upto Rs. 2/- as administrative/processing charge for the top-ups made on prepaid connections. The service providers are asked to make this effective from September 15, 2008.
Airtel and MTNL have taken the first step. Now they charge only Rs. 2/- as processing fee. Even other service providers are expected to do the same, very soon.
