BlackBerry Desktop Manager for Apple Mac computers

In a recent blog post, Research In Motion (RIM) have stated that their team is working on the Black Berry Manager software for Apple's Mac computers. With this software, Black Berry users will be able to manage their mobile devices through Apple computers. Earlier this manager software was available only for Windows.

Some of the key features about the initial version of this Manager software are:

• it will support Mac® OS 10.5.5 and above.
• Sync your iTunes® playlists, calendars, contacts, notes and tasks
• Add/Remove applications
• Update the mobile device when new software is available
• Backup and restore of data with scheduled backups and encryption
• Manage multiple devices
